After seeing so many leaks and rumors surrounding the iPhone 17, the internet is still finding ways to surprise us with possible design changes on the upcoming models. This time, a well-known Apple leaker has shared a render of what they claim to be the official case for the iPhone 17 Pro series.

If the report turns out to be accurate, not only is it debunking some of the last-minute changes some other leakers have suggested, but it also shows off a few additional design tweaks that Apple is planning for its new phone.

With a month to go before Apple reveals the iPhone 17 lineup, and a report doubling down on the supposed event date, the next generation is almost here. That said, forget about rumors of a second Camera Control button, as this new leak suggests that Apple will keep the same buttons that appeared on the iPhone 16 models, which means the company won’t overcomplicate the iPhone experience.

According to a new post on X from leaker Duan Rui, the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro case will have two additional lanyard holes at the bottom of the accessory, which could hint at Apple finally offering its own lanyard for the iPhone, or at least acknowledging that many iPhone users want the option to hang their iPhone from their neck.

The rendered case reveals Apple isn’t adding any buttons on the top of the phone, and it will stick with the same placements for the Action Button, volume buttons, Side Button, and Camera Control.

The image also doubles down on the camera bar design, which shows the case will have a big cutout. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t reveal the placement of the MagSafe connector, as some leakers suggested that Apple might change its positioning. With the iPhone 17 Pro cases, Apple will likely offer silicone, clear, and plastic options from Beats. It’s unclear if the company will try out a different material such as vegan-leather after the FineWoven fiasco.
