Nothing says “premium” like aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, am I right? I guess. I don’t know, it sounds fancy and it looks fancy, too, which makes Laifen’s new electric shaver, the T1 Pro, the swankiest electric shaver I’ve seen all day. The T1 Pro, which was announced at IFA 2025, is apparently crafted with “a single block of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy,” which makes this over-engineered shaver both light and very durable, according to Laifen.
Powering this thing is what Laifen describes as a “high-speed linear motor” that it says can bring 12,000 cuts per minute. There’s also a 0.055mm foil separating your face from one stainless steel blade, which is both scary and tantalizing if you’re looking for a close shave. To bring everything together, Laifen says it uses “Apple-grade sandblasting” for a matte finish, and all that aerospace metal goodness makes it “73% thinner than conventional shavers,” though I can’t say I know what a regular electric shaver weighs. Apparently, I’ve been shaving my head and face with a brick. The T1 Pro weighs just 93g and is 12mm thick, for context.
If that’s not high-tech enough for you, Laifen says its T1 Pro also has an algorithm that adjusts the shaver in real-time to the contours of your face, which is again, something I never knew that I needed or was even available to me, and now I’m starting to think I’ve been out of the electric shaver game for too long. Battery-wise, Laifen says its shaver has 120 minutes of charge, which equates to up to 4 months of use, or probably less from someone like me who shaves their head with an electric shaver at least twice per week.
If the T1 Pro isn’t doing it for you, Laifen also announced a separate shaver called the P3 Pro, which has three blades and two motors. In case you were really interested in what’s going on inside your shaver, Laifen also built in a little window so you can see said motor in action. If you’re ready for a big-time shaver upgrade like I am, both the T1 Pro and P3 Pro are available officially today for $149 and $169, respectively.
