Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2: A Pricey 4K Projector With Style

The Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 is a compact 4K projector built around an RGB triple laser, with Google TV, optical zoom and a 240Hz gaming mode packed into a body that looks more like a design object than a home theater box. It launched at $2,999, which put it at the top of the lifestyle projector market. In October 2026 the price story is different, so here is what it offers, what it costs now and which rivals deserve a look first.

Quick answer: The VisionMaster Pro 2 is a 3,000 ISO lumen RGB laser projector with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, a 0.9 to 1.5:1 optical zoom and 4ms input lag at 1080p and 240Hz. The official MSRP is still $2,999, but the projector alone was listed at $2,099 on the official US store in October 2026. At that price it is a strong pick for a living room or game room. If you want a built in stand and better speakers, compare it with the Hisense C2 Ultra.

What the VisionMaster Pro 2 is

Valerion launched in 2024 as a premium projector brand, and the VisionMaster Pro 2 arrived at the end of that year as its flagship long throw model. In May 2025, AWOL Vision announced that Valerion would become its premium sub brand, which is why the official store now sells the projector as the AWOL Valerion Pro 2. The hardware is the same machine.

The pitch is simple: bring the color of a triple laser projector to a small, good looking chassis that you can set on a shelf or coffee table, point at a wall or screen, and stream from without a separate box. It is a long throw design, so it needs room behind it, unlike the ultra short throw projectors that sit right under the screen.

5 Ways to Repurpose Old CD and DVD Players

Connectivity covers HDMI 2.1 for current consoles, an HDMI port with eARC for a soundbar or AV receiver, USB, Ethernet and WiFi 6E. Setup helpers include autofocus, automatic keystone correction, screen alignment and obstacle avoidance, plus 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios for ultrawide games and films. It also supports active 3D with compatible glasses.

What the specs mean in practice

    • Color is the headline. Separate red, green and blue lasers can cover a far wider color range than lamp or single laser projectors, which is why the spec sheet quotes more than the full Rec. 2020 gamut.
    • Brightness suits dim rooms best. 3,000 ISO lumens is plenty for a dark or dim room and workable with some lights on, but any projector looks washed out on a plain wall in a sunny living room.
    • Placement is flexible, within limits. The optical zoom lets you change image size without moving the projector or losing resolution, but the spec list includes no optical lens shift, so it works best when centered on the screen. Digital keystone fixes angles at the cost of some sharpness.
    • Gaming is a real strength. Few projectors run at 240Hz, and 4ms of lag is in line with fast gaming TVs.
    • Audio is a bonus, not a system. Two 12W drivers are fine for casual viewing. For movie nights, use the eARC port.
Watch out: like most single chip DLP projectors, this one can show the rainbow effect, brief color flashes some viewers notice in high contrast scenes. Valerion offers an anti rainbow update through firmware, but if you are sensitive to it, buy from a store with an easy return policy.

Price and availability in October 2026

The VisionMaster Pro 2 still carries a $2,999 MSRP on the official US store, but the projector alone was listed at $2,099 when we checked in October 2026. Bundles that add a stand or ceiling mount with an HDMI 2.1 cable were listed at $2,699. Prices on this model move often around sales events, so treat anything near or under $2,100 as a fair deal and avoid paying full MSRP.

The lineup around it matters too. The original VisionMaster Pro is rated at 2,500 ISO lumens with a $2,499 MSRP, and Valerion also sells the more expensive VisionMaster Max for dedicated home theater rooms.

    Alternatives worth comparing

    Hisense C2 Ultra
3,000 ANSI lumen triple laser, a built in gimbal stand that rotates 360 degrees and tilts 135 degrees, and a JBL 2.1 speaker system. It launched at $2,999.99 and was on sale for $1,899.99 at Best Buy in October 2026.
    Valerion VisionMaster Pro
The same design idea with a 2,500 ISO lumen rating and a lower $2,499 MSRP. Worth it only if you find it well below the Pro 2.
    Hisense C2 Pro
A cheaper C2 sibling rated at 2,600 lumens with optical zoom and the same gimbal, launched at $2,499.99.

The short version: choose the Hisense if you want to aim the picture at any wall or the ceiling and care about built in sound. Choose the VisionMaster Pro 2 if you want 240Hz gaming, more connections and a fixed install that looks good on a shelf.

Tip: budget for a proper screen. An ambient light rejecting screen does more for daytime viewing than a few hundred extra lumens, and it costs far less than stepping up a projector tier.

    FAQ

Is the VisionMaster Pro 2 true 4K?

Every Airline That Supports AirTag Share Item Location in 2026

It uses a 0.47 inch DLP chip with pixel shifting to put a 4K image on screen, which is how almost every 4K projector in this price range works.

Can I use it for PS5 or Xbox gaming?

Yes. It has HDMI 2.1, and the official input lag figures are 15ms at 4K 60Hz, 8ms at 1080p 120Hz and 4ms at 1080p 240Hz.

Does it need a separate streaming stick?

No. Google TV is built in with Netflix, and the projector also supports AirPlay 2 and Chromecast.

Is it the same as the AWOL Valerion Pro 2?

Yes. Valerion became the premium brand under AWOL Vision in 2025, and the official store now uses the combined name.

    The verdict

At its original $2,999 the VisionMaster Pro 2 was hard to justify against cheaper triple laser rivals. At around $2,100 it makes much more sense, especially for gamers and anyone who wants a stylish projector with excellent color specs. If built in sound and a swivel stand matter more, the Hisense C2 Ultra is the one to beat.
