Even though these AirPods came out a few years ago, in 2022, Apple’s second-gen AirPods Pro have regularly claimed a spot on the list of our favorite wireless earbuds. Not only are they stylish, they offer great battery life, include noise-cancellation tech and have pretty high sound quality. But as expected, none of that comes cheap. Normally, AirPods Pro 2 sell for around $249, but luckily, there are often ways to save.

CNET senior editor Adam Oram has years of experience helping readers score savings on tech — with a special focus on Apple products — and has rounded up the best AirPods Pro 2 deals available right now.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

This list is updated regularly to ensure prices are up to date, as many retailers change them without notice. Be sure to check back whenever you’re in the market for a new pair of earbuds. Not sure that you need to go whole hog on a pair of AirPods Pro 2? Apple’s new AirPods 4 offer similar features for a little less money.

    Best AirPods Pro 2 deals

Amazon has the USB-C version of the second-gen AirPods Pro available for $199, a $50 discount compared to Apple’s price.

Walmart has the USB-C AirPods Pro 2 available for $199. The retailer is also offering three free months of Apple TV+ and Apple Fitness+, along with four free months of Apple Music and Apple Arcade.

Best Buy doesn’t have a direct discount on the USB-C AirPods Pro 2. The tech retailer has its own trade-in program where you can save up to $30 in exchange for your old headphones or earbuds. Plus, new subscribers will get three free months of Apple Music and Apple Fitness Plus with the purchase.

Target isn’t offering any discounts right now but you can save 5% when you use your Target Circle Card* for the purchase.

Although these Apple earbuds are only $10 off at B&H Photo, if you use a Payboo* credit card, you’ll get the sales tax as cash back, which can save you a chunk of change.

Apple rarely offers discounts but there is a way to save on a pair of AirPods Pro 2. Pay using your Apple Card* and you’ll get 3% cash back, which works out to a little more than $7 in savings. Apple also offers free engraving and three months of free Apple Music for new subscribers.

How we choose the best AirPods Pro 2 deals at CNET

As the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are some of the most popular earbuds on the market, discounts tend to be matched at major retailers across the board. Many companies offer a few exclusive benefits, like free services with the purchase or extra discounts when you pay with their card. We’ve included the best of these retailer-exclusive offers in our list of deals above, so you don’t have to worry about leaving any money on the table. With the holiday sales, there are fewer options. You just need to know where to look.

Powered by Apple’s H2 chip, the second-gen AirPods Pro boasts some of the best noise-canceling capabilities out there at the moment. They’ve even secured a top spot on our list of the overall best noise-canceling headphones. They support Adaptive Audio, which automatically adjusts the level of noise canceling to suit your environment, and they have a transparency mode for when you need to be more aware of your surroundings.

Thanks to their lightweight design and IP54 dust- and sweat-resistance, the second-gen AirPods Pro have earned a spot on our list of the best headphones for working out. They are not completely waterproof, so they can’t be used in the rain or other extreme conditions.

The earbuds themselves have a battery life of up to six hours with noise canceling active, and the charging case supports up to 30 hours of listening time per charge.

*All information about the Target Circle Card, B&H Payboo card and Apple Card has been collected independently by CNET and has not been reviewed by the issuers.
