Verizon is hosting Verizon Family Weekend on August 9–10, transforming over 10,000 retail stores nationwide into family-focused tech hubs. The event launches a broader month-long initiative promoting digital wellness and connected living, aimed at helping families prepare for the school year with smarter, safer technology.

Visitors will experience hands-on tech demonstrations and receive expert guidance from in-store specialists. Highlights include personalized setups of the Gizmo Watch 3 Adventure, designed to provide kid-safe connectivity, guided walkthroughs of the Verizon Family app for managing screen time and tracking location, and live demos of connected tablets intended as educational tools. In addition, customers can receive limited-edition stickers created by artist Jason Naylor.

Verizon is also offering exclusive in-store deals for both new and existing customers during the weekend. These include:

    – Gizmo Watch 3 Adventure for under $100
    – Free iPhone 16, 16 Plus, or 16 Pro with no trade-in required, when you add a line on select unlimited plans
    – Free iPhone 16 Pro Max with Unlimited Ultimate
    – Android and Apple watches starting at $5/month
    – Select iPads starting at $5/month
    – TCL Tab 10 NXTPAPER 5G for as low as $4/month

Looking ahead, Verizon will launch Family Plus, a new $10/month myPlan perk debuting on August 21. This enhancement to the free Verizon Family app introduces expanded parental controls, including location tracking, driving behavior insights, screen-time monitoring, and content filtering.

Through a mix of interactive experiences and meaningful savings, Verizon Family Weekend underscores the company’s commitment to helping families embrace technology safely and effectively as the new school year approaches.
