Eric Schmidt and Dian Green Leave Alphabet Board of Directors

Alphabet Holding, which owns Google, announced that Eric Schmidt (Eric Schmidt) and Diane Green (Diane Greene) will not qualify for the extension of their membership on the company’s board of directors, which expires on June 19, 2019.

Eric Schmidt will remain Alphabet technical advisor. The top manager has been on the board of directors since March 2001. From July 2001 to April 2011, he served as CEO of Google, and from April 2011 to January 2018 , the executive president of Alphabet.

Diane Green has been a member of the board since January 2012. From December 2015 she headed the corporation’s cloud business, Google Cloud. In January 2019, she left this post. According to Green, when she came to Google, she planned to leave the company in two years, but was delayed a year longer.

Recall that after the departure of Eric Schmidt resigned Alphabet Board of Directors headed by the former rector of Stanford University John Hennessy  (John L. Hennessy).
