The Google Webmasters team reported on Twitter that another bug was found in the search.
This error causes Google bot to choose irrelevant canonical URLs. As a result, irrelevant links may appear on mobile crumbs on mobile devices. In rare cases, this bug may cause problems with indexing.
Google engineers are currently working on fixing the error and will report when this issue is fully resolved.
We’re aware for some pages, there’s an issue where we may have selected an unrelated canonical URL. In turn, breadcrumb trails on mobile might reflect the unrelated URLs. In rare cases, it might prevent proper indexing. We’ve been fixing this & will update when fully resolved.

Google also added that they are continuing to work on the issue of updating reports in the Search Console.
We’re also still working on resolving the issue with fresh data and correct live status reporting in Search Console. We’ll update our previous thread on that, when this is done. https://t.co/DVYlHx37tW

Recall that the reports in the Search Console have not been updated for more than two weeks – from 7-8 April 2019.
The bug that caused the de-indexing of the pages in the main search and the disruption of Search Console was eliminated by Google on April 12th.
