August has arrived, and although it unfortunately means we’re already halfway through summer, the good news is that it’s once again time to claim your free Kindle e-books for the month as an Amazon Prime member.

If you’re not aware, Amazon provides Prime members with free Kindle e-books every month via its First Reads program. Each month on the first, Amazon refreshes its First Reads collection with a carefully selected range of new Kindle e-books across different genres. As a Prime member, you are eligible to claim one free Kindle e-book from this collection, along with a free bonus short read.

Once you claim your free Kindle e-books, they are yours to keep forever. If you’re looking to expand your library every month, Amazon’s First Reads program is an easy way to do so. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, it costs $15 monthly or $139 annually. You may even have a free trial available to use. While eight Kindle e-books are available, remember that you can only select one for free, so choose wisely. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you can still browse the First Reads collection. However, instead of the selected book being free, you’ll have to pay $2 for it, which isn’t a bad deal at all.
