Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch beta has now reached the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 7 and Watch 6 lines in about two weeks. Here is what the Wear OS 7 update adds and how to enroll.
Samsung raised US list prices across the Galaxy S26 line on October 1, roughly seven months after the phones went on sale, with the 1TB Ultra jumping $200. South Korea got the same increase on the same day. Nothing about the hardware changed, and the widely reported Galaxy S27 price leak turns out to describe today’s numbers rather than next year’s.
Leaker Ice Universe says the Galaxy S27 Ultra will ship with three rear cameras instead of four, with the 3x telephoto being the one that goes. Run the numbers on light gathering and depth of field and the cut looks far more defensible than the spec sheet suggests. The part worth worrying about is the camera Samsung is keeping.
A supply chain report says Samsung will embed PUF-based authentication chips in around 50 million Galaxy A batteries starting in 2027. The stated reasons are counterfeit safety and smarter recycling. The unstated consequence is that a phone can now tell whether the battery inside it is genuine, and 2027 is the same year EU rules force those batteries to be user replaceable.
A leak of the full Galaxy S27 memory and storage lineup shows every model matching its Galaxy S26 equivalent, with the 128GB tier removed entirely. The cause is the memory shortage driven by AI data centers, which now absorb an estimated 70 percent of global output. The one genuine upgrade is LPDDR6 and UFS 5.1, and it may be limited to the top tiers.
One UI 9 landed on the Galaxy S26 in mid September and went global this week. The S25 and the Z Fold 7 are next on September 28, older flagships follow in October, and the A series is still in beta. Here is the full schedule and what actually changed.
Samsung Display’s M16 OLED reaches 10,000 nits in a 1 percent window and 2,800 nits full screen. The headline number is the least interesting part. The second generation polarizer-free structure underneath it cuts panel power draw by up to 30 percent, and that is the change you will actually feel.
Samsung spent Apple’s keynote live posting jokes about the iPhone Duo, including a line about reheating its leftovers. The spec sheets tell a closer story.
European listings put the Galaxy A17 4G at 289.90 euros and the A17 5G at 319.90 euros with 8 GB and 256 GB. Here is the full spec comparison and whether 5G is worth the extra thirty euros.
A new Galaxy ships configured for a shop display. These ten One UI settings, with the exact paths, fix the refresh rate, the animations, the ads, the battery and the side button in about five minutes.
